Squeeze My Heart Orange Lemonade
I made this for the Valentines Day Party we are having for Joaquin’s Playgroup. It doesn’t have much sugar, so if you’re making this for adults I suggest using less water and a little more sugar. I like it just how it is!
What You Need
5 Oranges (save 1 for slicing)
3-4 Tangerines/Tangelos
6 Lemons (save 1 for slicing)
Juicing Tool (mine is pictured below)
1 pint of Strawberries
1/4 Cup sugar (or more to your taste)
The How To
First you have to juice your fruit. Juice 4 of the oranges, all of your tangerines, and 5 lemons. I used this juicer below, or you can use a hand juicer. Squeezing the juice out just won’t cut it. You’ll miss out on a lot of juice. If you don’t have a juicing tool and have to make this right away I suggest you press and roll your fruit on the counter before cutting it in half. This will release the juice. Then after squeezing the juice out bite down on the skin to squeeze out more juice. Below is a picture of the juicer I use.
Add about 10 cups of water. My fruit was really juicy and my lemons really tarty. I added 12 cups and divided my batch into two pitchers. I added half of the sugar to each pitcher and stirred. Remember that I made this for toddlers, so if you want it a little stronger add your water in batches of 2-3 cups and try it as you go.
Cut the remaining lemon and orange in slices and add to your juice. You can cut up strawberries like hearts to make a “squeeze my heart” theme, or leave them out.
I am going to serve this in an apothecary drink dispenser over ice! Pictures soon to come!

If youre trying to get your milk in everyday but don’t like chugging it down, or always want to dunk cookies in… Try this idea!
A yummy cappuccino will hit the spot and kill 2 birds with one stone. You get your caffeine fix while getting a good amount of vitamin D and calcium.
here’s what you need
3-4 ounces espresso
1 cup whole milk, or any type of milk
1-2 Tbsp of sugar or flavored coffee creamer

Try using an aluminum espresso stovetop maker. You can find them in sizes from 3 cups to 6 cups and the prices range from $8-$19.
In a microwave safe container warm up 1 cup of whole milk, or substitute for whatever type of milk you prefer, even almond or soy milk can work. Heat up for 1 minute. In place of a steamers to froth your milk try using this doohickey – Aerolatte steam free milk frother. You can get it for around $19.99.
In your favorite mug mix your espresso, milk, and sugar (or flavored creamer). If you want to make a design at the top of the milk Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H2gw4kT9K0
