Disney’s UP Birthday Party
That’s a milk carton spray painted with 10 balloons attached to it. It didn’t float away, but drifted with the wind for awhile. The kids loved chasing it!
Joaquin loved the balloon wall. We took photos of each guest and I plan to use those photos for Thank You cards!

These “Ellie Badges” are bottle caps from beer and sodas we’ve been drinking. I used a 1 inch craft punch to cut out the grape soda image (which I printed at home) and used mod-podge to attach and seal it. I also used a small jewelry hole punch and large safety pins to make it a “badge”.
They were a great addition to the party!
I scanned in the pages of an UP coloring book and my dad made these coloring books for him at his school. I’m sure you could take the pages into a copy place and they would be able to create these books. The cover and back page are laminated and have fun images of my son.

Real Food to Play Food

Small plastic juice bottle, or milk jug just make sure it’s clear… And clean

Baby oil
Hot glue gun
The How To
Pour glitter in clean bottle. Pour baby oil inside to the amount you want. Use your glue gun to secure lid.
Shake and play away!
Kids Reward Bucket
Here’s What You Need
1 small bucket, I got mine at DollarTree
Stickers or letters cut out
Glue/adhesive
Tweezers
Small toys,prizes, or treats
Here’s the How To
Wipe the bucket clean and remove all tags or label stickers. (Rubbing alcohol helps get the gunk off). Place your letters on one side of the bucket. Make sure you space out how much room you have for your letters before you glue.
If you’re using stickers use tweezers to help you place the letters, don’t push the sticker down until you have them all in the right spot incase you make a mistake.
If you use a cricut or other types of letters without adhesive I recommend using an adhesive like the one below (I got this at Walmart). Put your letters upside down on scrap paper and spray one word at a time and then use tweezers to place on bucket.

Put small toys inside the bucket and give them as a reward when your child has a good day, goes potty, or eats all their veggies. I highly recommend you don’t use it to get your children to do things, like bait, instead see it as a way to reward them for doing it because they know it’s right, not so they get a prize. The prize should be a surPRIZE. It’s ok to keep the bucket visible. It can be a reminder that they should behave all day.
Valentines Day Craft
Here’s What You Need
Celery Heart (the bottom with tops cut off)
Carrots with shapes cut into bottom
Cookie cutters
Paint
Paintbrush to mix colors
Tray to squeeze paint in
Paper
Drop cloth or plastic trash bag
Painters tape
It’s so easy! Just cover your table or floor with the drop cloth or trash bag, secure with painters tape and start stamping! The celery worked best when you use very little paint.
Promotion Card
This is a card I made for our friend who just promoted to Major. I feel like they never sell military congrats cards but I’m always give them out!!!
Nature Art
Joaquin and I decided to collect some nature items from the back yard and garden. We picked some begonias, sage, grass, and dandelions. I arranged a piece of paper on some foam and taped it with painters tape. I got the glue out and let him place the items where he wanted (I helped with the grass). When he put an item down I put a squirt of glue on the back and put it exactly how he laid it down. This turned out lovely and would be a great Mother’s Day gift for grandma!!!

Homemade Sidewalk Chalk
Here’s What You Need
Plaster of Paris
Acrylic paint
Silicone or plastic mold
Plastic cup and spoon
Here’s the How To
In your plastic cup mix 2 parts plaster to one part water. If you want colored chalk mix in 2 parts plaster to 1/2 part acrylic paint and add water as you need.
Put the mix into your mold and tap to release any air bubbles. Let the molds dry for a couple of hours, or even up to 24/48 hours for large molds. Make sure you throw away your plastic cup and spoon, you don’t want to rinse anything with plaster of Paris down the sink.
Gently take out your chalk and have fun!

To make the chalk a cool gift or party favor put them in zip lock bags. I used the Plantin SchoolBook cricut cartridge to get the neighborhood silhouette. I also wrote the chalk recipe on the back!

Jar Snow Globe
What You Need
Old Jar with Lid, clean and label removed (use a jar that does not have writing on it, like “Classico”)
Laminated photo, cut to outline body
Small stones or pebbles
Christmas decor, like plastic trees, or holly
Glue gun and glue
Baby oil or glycerin
Glitter
Spray paint and sand paper (optional)
The How To
Prepare the lid by making sure it is clean. You can use sand paper to scratch the inside surface to help the items stick better. To make the lid look finished spray the outside with spray paint, or brush paint on.
To prepare the jar make sure it is clean and use rubbing alcohol to remove any labels or stickiness left behind.
Prepare your photo by cutting out the body and laminating it. Cut out again and glue to the inside of the lid. Use stones to support the photo. Glue them around the photo and any other items you want to add. Walmart and dollar tree had great trees and light posts to put in your jar.
Fill the jar with baby oil, or if you are using glycerin put a few drops in (not too much) and fill with distilled water. Add the glitter. The first time I did this I added WAY too much glitter, you couldn’t see the photo. Just remember the glitter doesn’t sink right away, so you don’t need a lot. Maybe go slow and watch the glitter drop to see how much more you need.
The hardest part is gluing the lid on. Quickly put HOT glue around the mouth of the jar and twist the lid on. If you don’t don’t do this fast the glue will dry and your lid will leak.
Finish with a ribbon or just leave it. Perfect craft for a gift!
I got my supplies from the dollar tree and reused an old jar. Laminators are $25 on amazon.com and a great investment.
